Discriminating incident at Pets Movers today

When we brought Winky, Cherry and Sidney to the dog run today, I recognized the few volunteers from Mdm Wong's farm. They too brought the shelter dogs in for a walk but was instead asked by the Pets Movers staff to leave the compound. I ran after the volunteers and asked what happened. They said the staff told them someone complained to AVA about strays(??!!) in the dog run. AVA came and said those dogs cannot come in. I highly doubt the authority will do or say something like that. What wrong with rescued dogs being in the dog run?? What's freaking WRONG with these idiotic pets owners of not sharing the dog run with rescued dogs?? I sincerely hope 1 day they will meet their retribution. God will give them what they deserve.

ARGH!!!!

the PET MOVERS playground is open to public EXCEPT the farm dogs... that are abandoned BY the public AND the breeders which include P** M***RS n petshops nearby.

ironic isnt it?

Sometimes, things are not what they seems to be. Pet mover maybe trying to protect their customer's dog by not allowing other farm dogs / stray dogs into their farm. Why do i say that? Because some farm dogs are not cared for properly(have ticks and transmitable skin probs) and are not vaccinated. Not everyone keep their stray/farm dog vaccinated yearly, dewormed, etc... Imagine if ur dog caught a virus from the dog run, how would u feel? Who would u blame? Sometimes, things are not what u think it is.

These are the sort of dog owners who will abandon/PTS their dogs when they're no longer the pretty pedigrees they bought -- let's say, when their dogs are old and developing various health problems. They're too quick to judge.

I agree with Anonymous' point about the diseases.

However, while not all "farm" dogs may be cared for properly and vaccinated, it is also not the case that all "home" dogs are cared for properly and vaccinated.

I do not own a dog nor have I any idea how a dog run is run (pun unintended).

I feel that it is necessary for all dogs should be checked for visible diseases and parasites such as ticks before allowed entry.

I don't think it's right to judge and discriminate dogs.

It's their owners who are to blame. In the end, pure breed or mix, dogs are dogs.

They don't care if we give them a thousand dollar bed, they just want love... & food.

I see no wrong with sharing the dog run. Mix and mingle! After all, we're all living things.

y so mean...just share lah. Dogs are dogs regardless of breeds or strays. they too deserved to have fun. if they are afraid of their pets catching tickes or fleas, then they should not bring their pets out in the 1st place. cos these pets can also catch the fleas, ticks, etc from other predigree dogs and not necessary strays.
