Sad news..

Last night I jolted out of my sleep and immediately received 2 phone calls, one after another. The first one was a lady who told me that is a dog loitering around her block and crying loudly. One of the muslim families was even taking a bamboo and chase/beat it away. I told her the options and ended the call with a heavy heart. Later Jessie called and told me Archellis at DRS is completely blind now. He is knocking onto things and tries to bite when anyone goes near him. We know he is scared to death. Can you imagine going back to the shelter 2 weeks later and see this dog completely blind and scared now?????


I really dunno what to say.

These Sundays, Zw and I goes to Doggie Rescue shelter(DRS) at pasir ris to volunteer. Each week we prepare snacks like meatballs or chix rice for the 33dogs there. We also scrubbed their bowls and kennels and give them patting and some grooming. With only the 2 of us, the shelter still needs volunteers badly. Occasionally, Rayne and Ena comes and help out too.

Last week, after some patience, we managed to take a decent picture of all the 33 dogs!!

Mabel the kitten needs a home

Ena found this little gal near her place few weeks ago and brought it to the vet. She is just discharge and vaccinated. Her right eye lid is unable to open fully yet. But the doc said it should be able to rectify when she is a bit older. A fosterer or adopter is greatly appreaciated. She is about 2 mths old. If you are interested, pls call Ena at 97807882.
