I had almost gave up looking for adopters for my 2 rescued dogs. But luckily their affectionate and sweet nature shine through and a lady who had pet mongrels all her life decide to adopt Winky but not cherry.

My doggies constant shedding, skin problems was driving us crazy(acty ZW is more affected) despite going to various vets and taking all kinds of medication and supplements over the years. So ZW suggested we shave down all 3 of our dogs for a change. I was a little apprehensive but went along his wishes. We called our good friend, Zhicheng(a freelance groomer) and he gave us a fantastic price for shaving+grooming our dogs. We are soo grateful to him.

IMO, he did a great job. If any of you need his contact, pls let me know.

The results are great. They scratch and lick lesser and thus less redness and shedding! They also seems cooler on warm days.. Yay!!

With the ever present problems with finances, housing issues and the rotten relations with my family, I feel immerse joy with my job as a pets boarder. I get to spend time with different loving pets and get paid for it! Although the pay barely covers much, I am very grateful that these pets owners trust me enough to take care of their loving companions while they are away.

Oh... There cant be a better job for a animal lover like me, is there? :P

How did I forgot to post about Zoe here?!

This adorable gal was given up by a couple when they separated, she was subsequently adopted to a friend who also gave her up when HDB came knocking on his door because he had 2dogs. My friend asked me to foster her for awhile and she is now at another fosterer place in a landed house with a good chance of getting adopted by them :)

She was so depressed when she first came. Refuse to come out of the corner and food for 2days... Luckily, no animals can remain unhappy for long in my little farm.. Heheh

Loves humans so much! :)

Who can give up such a loving dog because of selfish reasons is really beyond me....

A rescuer called me a few days ago and ask me to care for a small brown dog which was just found. Apparently, the someone found the old female dog and wanted to call SPCA to take her. I said ok and a friend drove this fella to my place that night.

I think a Chiwawa or a cross?

Thankfully nt because he is darn naughty and the adopter return him. The family has gone to India for holidays and they ask if I could look after the fella for a few weeks...

matter how we discipline him. The scardy boy also barks at the slightest sound. Sigh, to think I save him from being surrender to SPCA with his siblings. He turns out to be a monster!

This little gal's story is typical but nonetheless sad. She was dumped together with her 3 siblings at a temple and a friend's neighbor brought her home. But instead of letting her inside his flat to care for it. This person locked this little puppy in a basket outside his HDB flat.

My friend felt sorry for this gal and asked me to foster her. So now she is jumping around in the house while waiting for a loving forever home. Would you like to adopt her?? She is currently 5weeks old, dewormed and have a hearty appetite!

Hey, you wan to adopt me? You have to feed, play, clean after me, bring
me to the vet when I'm sick for the next 15yrs. In return, I promise
to give you all my love and loyalty my whole life.

After fostering Summer for a day, these 2 Shih tzu came to me for boarding. They too are looking for a forever home or at least one of them. Apparently, the owner still want one of them(Pei pei). But they are now with the fosterer due to some complaints from terrible neighbors.

A bit late in posting this entry.

Previously, we fostered sweetie-pieJewel(from DRS) when she had a burst lump on her chest. That was about 2mths back. She recovered and went back to the shelter. But 2 weeks ago, there was a growth on her chest again and Jessie brought her to the vet and remove it. So here she is, in our house again, playing with her favorite ball and eating good food :)

Lately, Ena told me she is fostering some really sick cats and no financially help at all from the previous owner/rescuer. Til date, she has spent more than 1k on them and her account is fast depleting from this and yrs of feeding, fostering and rescuing these cats at her area. Other than these, she is also paying for boarding of Wanda (http://jingjingdogs.blogspot.com/2010/07/wanda-puppy-gal.html) at a shelter in Pasir Ris.

About 3 weeks ago, a feeder in her 50s begged me to take in (foster) a mother cat and her 2 kittens, who were abandoned by someone she knew. I was reluctant to at first because one of the kittens was obviously sick and I did not want other cats I'm fostering infected. But finding no one able/willing to take them in, I can't find it in myself to leave them to their fate.

The mother, whom I named Cher, has severe fungal growth in her left eye; her right eye is beginning to get similarly infected.

One of her kittens, a ginger boy about 2 months old, has a severe flu which results in so much phlegm in his throat that he couldn't swallow the food he hungrily ate up; he also has the beginning of his mother's infection in his right eye which is smaller than his right. He, Edmon, was hospitalized at AAVC, Yishun, from 8 to 14 April. On finding him worse than ever, I sought 2nd opinion at ARVC.

The kind ladies at ARVC took pity on him and offered to give foster care, to my great relief and hope. However, little Edmon did not make it. He passed away on 23 Apr and I arranged for his cremation on 24 Apr.

Edmon's brother, Damon, despite being vaccinated on 8 Apr, also came down with flu; but although he sneezed flecks of blood, it did not become as severe. He is still on antibiotics and Colostrum supplement acquired from his visit to ARC on 17 Apr.

For the mother Cher, I brought her to AAVC, then to ARVC for a 2nd opinion on 24 Apr when her condition did not improve. The vet then prescribed supplements, Lysine and eye drops, but warned that Cher's condition is likely irreversible and may develop into something more serious called Glaucoma (a condition where her eye ball will enlarge due to inability to drain fluid) which will cause a lot of pain. He had suggested a review in 2 weeks' time when, if her condition did not improve, more drastic measures may be called for.

These series of visits to the vets have really drained my resources and made a huge hole in the monthly food and medicine funds I would set aside for the cats, including one with renal failure.

I hope very much to receive your aid, on the expenses (receipts attached) incurred as mentioned above.

Chirpy has passed on

Yest I asked for the owner to bring Chirpy to the vet cos I could see the wound was infected and pus was oozing out. She came at 6pm and wasn't back at 10pm so I msg her. Awhile later she msg me saying her HP has no batt so she had to wait til she reached hm and text me that Chirpy is gone. His cancer cells has spread to the muscles so she had to PTS him.... Dear Chirpy, even though I have only cared for you 10plus days, I knew you was a very sweet and affectionate dog. You have lived well.. RIP

After years together, Zw and I finally decide to go on a holiday. A rare thing among singapore couples I think :P . We had a great time eating and shopping, though we didnt get much things ourselves. I think that HK is very similar to Singapore but more colder, more great food, more shopping, more scenery to see. It makes a great place to stay actually... Hmmm.....

Lobster has passed on...

I am now sitting in the hotel room 5 o'clock in the morning because I kept thinking of the little dog.

Just when Zw and I are enjoying our first holiday tgt, I just received a msg from Ky that Lobster has passed on. Just 2nights ago, Ky has already told me that Lobster's condition has deteriorated. She has remained unconscious since passing out/vomiting blood. Fluids has filled up her lungs and the vet said her organs are already shutting down. I was so affected that we cancelled going to Disneyland/Macau(we are in hong kong). We just took the tram from one end to the other end quietly. I cant help but feel so guilty that I had abandoned Lobster in her last leg of journey. I had sincerely thought and hope that she still had a few good years to go.

Goodbye Lobster, I am so sorry. I wished you had been shown more love during your last few years. Sigh...

This sweet gal here was neglacted for a prolonged period of time due to owner's ignorance. My friend rescued her but due to no fosterer, she is now boarded in the pet shop temporarily. In fact, due to her lovely nature, she is allowed to roam freely in the pet shop.

Much that we dread it, we began the moving last Tues. Now one week plus in our new home, we still miss our woodlands flat. But we are glad that we are now (slightly) nearer to Town. Plenty of buses to Orchard etc... Heheh

Lobster is leaving to a New home 16hrs

I am happy Lobster is finally going to a forever home. The lady I heard is a devoted long-time animal rescuer. But somehow deep down I feel guilty because being abandoned, blind and mostly deaf, Lobster feels secure and happy being with us. But now, because of our situation, she has to yet again go to a new place and be adapt to a new surrounding. I worry if she gets too stressed again.. Sigh...

I hope she will do ok and have many more good yrs... See ya Lobster..

Goodbye 2010! Hello 2011!

In exactly 2hrs time, Year 2011 will arrived. Though this year has brought me much sadness(animals' deaths), worries(financial, housing) and emotional stress(mainly from my family), I am still thankful and grateful for the good things that have happened to me. I reconnect with my wonderful friends whom I have not met in a long time. Zhiwei have shown me time and again his love, support and respect, although we sometimes argue and leave me fuming mad. My own pets good health, being able to sell our place for a good price and so, able to afford to rent a apartment for year or so :)

OK, enough of me babbling!

I hereby wish everyone a very happy NEW YEAR and hope the new year will bring each of you renewed hope and above all happiness, love and good health. I also wish more people will show more empathy for the animals that are roaming the streets, abandoned heartlessly and those that are injured or sick.

Lobster has been lounging around the house comfortably since she realised there is no harm here. She even learnt to bark when my other dogs in the house bark at strangers walking past. Although most of the time, she just bark at the empty space or at the wall. Because her basket is the biggest one and arguably at the most wanted corner in the house(under my study table), Kylie has been eyeing it non-stop and even managed to sneak a few naps on Lobster's bed. Once, I think Lobster was so pissed, she actually went to kylie's bed and bite kylie's blue blanket out of the bed, stepped on it and walked away -_-''

Ever since Mario came, he couldnt take his eyes off ah fat. We dont exactly know why. But apart from the 2 old gals(Doggie and Lobster) and the spicy Sidney, Kylie seems to be the most attractive one to him. Maybe it is just the curvy figure of hers. Hahha

A bad year for Doggie rescue shelter

2 weekends ago, I skipped going to the shelter because we were going to the flea market to sell our stuff. We are moving and after our things, we had many barangs barangs that we thought we could sell and make some money for the shelter.

I remember during our ride to the flea market, I mumbled to zhiwei that I sincerely hope none of the dogs will leave the shelter while we skip going there that weekend. He assured me that nothing will happen to them. Unfortunately, he was wrong.

This time is Josie. Her eye was going blind. Due to her defensive nature, Jessie opt to medicate her herself. But weeks ago, the caretaker that reported she did not eat anythings days before. So Jessie went down and fed her wet food. Amazing Josie allowed her to hand feed her. But it was the last time she did so. She died the next day. I really wish this is the last one this year. Jessie is too overwhelmed. Her home dogs are falling sick. Her job is not going well. Because of family problems, we have to sell our place and rent a place for the time being. God, please dun add pain and tears to our lives anymore. I don't think we deserve it.

Today we went by a Pets mart warehouse where we get our pet supplies. Saw the 2 resident bull dogs there. So oh my gosh CUTE!! Couldn't stop taking pics of them. Luckily didn't forget to get the things we needed cos of them!!

Bought the usual pet food, treats, milk and a really good gulcosamine supplements for the old gal at hm. I hope it really helps her. After that, we went to the 2 shelters to see all the beloved dogs there. The usual hugging, licking, pouncing and stalking from them is the reason why I would go to the shelters on weekends rather than glitzy shopping malls and buy some useless stuff.

Longxia's vet visit

Brought Longxia to the vet yesterday. Sight is totally gone, we suspect her hearing is really bad too. Heart seems OK. Did a kidney/liver test and waiting for the results. I told the doc she has been screaming in pain at night while licking her paws and he attributed it could be arthritis or rheumatism. Also inform the vet she has been panting heavily very often and he prescribed meds for respiratory aid. Poor fella also couldn't walk much, probably due to the intense pain in the joint. He estimated Longxia to be bwt 8 - 11yrs old. Teeth is in a TERRIBLE condition. Made a mental note to bring her for teeth scaling asap before someone dies from her horrible breath.

Pls help Lobster, a abandoned blind dog

Some useless idiot abandoned this poor old blind dog at a void deck in Jurong West on 1st Dec. This poor thing was circling round the area, banging onto walls, people, cats....... Finally Mdm Yeow, a resident at the area took the dog and confined it outside her hm(this is because the rescuer has many cats at hm).

Unable to find a place for the dog to go to, SPCA was called to take the dog away. But Ky stepped in and wanted to give this fella a chance before her death penalty. He msg me for cheap home boarding contacts but I didnt have any. So he wanted to send the dog to the kennel boarding. I just couldn't bear the thought of bringing this traumatized doggie to a kennel full of dogs. Not yet at least.

So now before we move out of our house and into a rental room next mth, I shall try my best to foster it and meanwhile, bring her to the vet and finding fosterers/adopters. Ky has renamed the dog Lobster. Seriously.....

Since becoming vegetarian almost 8yrs ago. I and now we(Zw and I) had to content with hawker centre food with meat taken out before we eat. Either that or (sometimes) expensive vegetarian food which doesn't suit our appetite. Finally recommendation from a vegetarian angmo blogger sent us to this nice and affordable vegetarian eating place in the East.

I miss Abraham so much, I woke up sobbing for his death. I grief for him and this unlock a safe of memories in my heart of dogs that I loved and have passed on. A stray dog I named Papa, Sanny, Bobby, Pom pom, Jacko, Lara, Sarah, Ah gong and Abraham and many other shelter animals I took care. I grieve not so much for Jacko for he has a wonderful loving adopter who loved him til he passed and maybe also for pom pom because she too received much love from her loving adopter for at least a year after he was rescued and found to have brain/nerve damage. But for the rest who was abandoned heartlessly, roaming the streets as unwanted strays, born with illnesses/deformities, kept in kennels for most of their lives and never got to enjoy sleeping on the couch, welcome their tired owner home from a long day with their powerful tail wagging, waiting at the dining table for food scraps and those that suffer much before they passed on, my heart ached for them so much that I cant function for days.

And so I started to imagine. I imagine that when animals passed on, they(with memories intact) will all go to heaven and God will help me pet them and tell them they have done a good job. While waiting for me to arrive, they regain their healthy body and do what dogs do. Roll around in the muddy field, play with unlimited supply with balls and squeaky toys but end of every heavenly day, they will all go to the Pearly gate and wait for me. One day, when(hopefully) I arrive in Heaven, they will all rush to me and lick me so much, I have to scream at them to stop.

I know many religions does not think that dogs and all other animals have souls. But I wished they really do have. Their passing creates a hole in my heart and knowing that my imagination is real allow me to continue to love and care for all the other living things.

Til then, I will continue to remember these animals in my heart and care for care for those who pass through my life and need some love.

Just as I finished writing the previous post, I received a call from the hosp telling me Abraham's heart has stopped and they are resusitating him. We rushed there and he is already gone. I held him close and tell him I love him very much. I will always remember how sweet and affectionate he is, how I shared my very yummy cream bun with him yesterday which he happily licked, how he always liked to stick close to me whenever he have the chance to.

He is gone now but will never be gone from our memory.

Goodbye Abraham, I love you, you have been a gd boy.

I kept touching his paws and called out his name.... I wish somehow he knows I love him....

Today I wanted to visit Abraham but I thought of visiting tml instead since we were just there yest. So I msg Karen from another shelter, hoping she could drop to help see Abraham since she's there everyday. She quickly called back and said that she was informed that the dog is found to be very weak and is already at the hospital. Zw and I just came back from the hospital. Poor Abraham was seizing badly when he arrived there, the vet has already sedated him a few times, the last being just before we arrived.

I managed to speak to the vet on call and she said that his bld glucose is very low. If I had done a bld glucose test yest and load her up with glucose, she might not have collapsed. I feel so sorry for this poor dog. Vet also said that even if she stopped the seizures, the earlier episodes might already damaged the brain. Prognosis is not gd. I asked them to call me when anything happens. Even if he is going to pass soon, I must be there to hold him. This is the least I can do.

Pls help me to pray for Abraham. Pray for him to be well. Or even for him to be as painless as possible.

Since we were there, we also visited Joshua who is near Abraham. Greedy fella was more interested in the spare ribs treats than us. This fella is also battling a failing heart and is depending on medicated to survive. Sigh....

Sad updates at Doggie Rescue Shelter(DRS)

Last Mon, 11 Oct, Sarah passed away. Suspected due to tick fever and a host of other problems which shelter dogs commonly have. Last weekend, due to some personal problems, we didnt went volunteer at the kennel. But come Monday, we heard about her death. I cant help wonder if she was yearning for us to come before she leaves.

Bye Sarah, due to your defensive nature, I never got a chance to touch and sayang you. I hope you are happy wherever you are now.

Today, as I was feeding the shelter dogs their fav. pork porridge. Abraham, one of the friendliest dogs there was looking weak and had no appetite. His legs are shaking and he fell several times. Poor dog looked so much in pain. We quickly finish the feeding and clean half of the kennels and rush Abraham to Mount Pleasant East before it closes for the day. He was so weak to walk, we had to carry him part of the way.

Did bld tests for him. Tested positive for heartworm and tick fever. He also has slight fever and fluid in his heart. Also did a X-ray to see how is his heart. Results shows that he is in advanced stage of heartworm and Vet gives the usual 2 options - to give 2 jabs, 24hrs apart to kill all the worms in the heart but Abraham have to be confined for about 4mths to keep calm. If not, because of the excitment, the dead worms may travel up to his lungs or brain which will kill him. Second option is to give monthly heartguard which will only kill of off the baby worms and wait for the adults to die off. This treatment takes about 2 yrs for all the worms to be gone. Vet says that many die during this treatment because their heart cannot take it.

As of now, Vet prescibed anti-diuretic to reduce the water in his heart so he can feel better and not pant so easily. Doxy meds for his tick fever. Jessie is overseas at the moment and will be back soon to decide his fate.

Much as we want to have a nice confined space for Abraham, unfortunately, we do not have a spare room or space. If you would kindly help to care for friendly and sweet Abraham for a few months. Pls let me know. We will be very very very grateful. All expenses will be reinbursed.

Happy is a local cross breed dog that is also 6 years old, good with humans but needs to be adopted into a SINGLE dog household as she can be quite possessive.

She is rescued off the streets by a kind lady who herself, have more than 20 rescued strays at a boarding shelter. Pls give this doggie a chance.

Otto is a 6 years old male pure breed Doberman that is friendly to everyone and has been train in obedience classes. He understands basic commands including sit, stay, heel, down etc.

His owner has been paying for his stay at a boarding shelter until recently he decided he doesnt Otto anymore. Pls give him a chance to be loved again.

However Otto needs to be the ONLY dog at home as he does not get along well with other dogs.

Yesterday evening I saw Kylie wobbling about on her 3 legs... I was so heartbroken to see her walking in pain, I had to even carry her down the stairs and onto the grass. At first, I thought she has arthritis or something due to her weight. But this morning when I inspect her paws, I realise 1 of the paw is swollen. Will be bring my fat gal to the vet soon.

2days ago, I rec a call from Vino, Jasper's adopter. With a pounding heart, I wondered why he suddenly call me. Thankfully it was because he and his family are going to Malaysia for a holiday and ask if I could help to dog sit little Jasper boy for 3days. Of cos I said YES. I was having exam break and I needed something to laugh and smile about. The next afternoon, Vin bought Jasper here.

What a big boy already. Vin was initially apprehensive of how Jasper will react to my dogs. But he was finally relieved after I told him my doggies may not like him very much, but Jasper love them to bits.

He was also worried if he has troubled me too much. Sure, I mopped like 1000times after Jasper marking and urine. And he couldn't stop humping Ah fat(HA HA). But I missed him and I am glad I got this chance to see Jasper again and know that he now has a very loving family who will not give him up no matter what.

Lovely Wanda was found loitering near Ena's block. She is no more than 9months old. For weeks, Wanda was Ena's constant companion when she feeds the cats near midnight, everyday. When we found she was pregnant, we decided we have to send her for abortion and sterilization as soon as we can.

Now currently at DRS, skinny Wanda already lost 3kg in 2weeks. She is soo human friendly. She needs a loving home as she seems stressed out by kennel life. Wanda will be at the adoption drive. So be sure to drop by and visit her with other lovely dogs there!!

Pom Pom has passed away...

On the same day that I received Jasper's wonderful pics, I received a call from Rayne saying Pom is at the vet, she has just vomitted blood and collaspe. She was rushing to the vet, crying. Hours later, I recived a sms that she had to be put to slp as she had a brain infection and was already screaming from the pain. The adopters and Rayne were devastated. I couldnt help but thought of how we rescue her from certain death and adopt her out to a wonderful home and she still had to leave us 1 year later. Still Im glad she was able to find her way to Rayne, Sumiko, her mum and our loving hearts for the past 1 year.

Rest in peace, dear Pom Pom.. You will always be in our heart.

Poor River, the mongrel needs your help please

I am a volunteer in Doggie Rescue Shelter situated in Pasir Ris Farmway. I would like to raise funds for River, a rescued mongrel in DRS. He started chewing his tail from 2weeks ago and became a bit bloodied and furless. Last week, Jessie the shelter owner came by the kennel and saw River's tail bleeding heavily. She rushed him to ARC greendale. The vet said that if the tail is not amputated, the bleeding would not stop. So Jessie has no choice but to go ahead with the operation. During the operation, River's heartbeat stop for almost a min. Luckily he is revived back. But his blood count now is extremely low. Vet is advising to give lightly cooked organs. He is now discharged and back to the kennel.

The final bill now is $542. Please help to donate to this poor dog. Anyone who has seen River will definitely pity him. Having a terrible skin condition already made him uncomfortable and painful. Now this make it worse. The vet mentioned that he has Demodex, and apparently there is a treatment available now that may be able to help him. But, again, $$ is an issue. If there is any leftover donation, we hope to use it on River's treatment.

Background of Doggie Rescue

Shelter Dog rescues and shelters come in many sizes and fill different functions within the community. Some dog shelters hold dogs for three to ten days before euthanizing them in order to prepare space for additional strays and unwanted pets. Other "no kill" dog shelters keep their wards - bathing them, feeding them, giving them medical attention - until a loving family adopts them. Unfortunately, this type of shelter must limit the quantity of dogs it accepts due to spatial and financial constraints.

The Doggie Rescue Shelter (DRS) is one such shelter. What began at the beginning of the millenium, DRS has since been home to over 70 of our very own Singapore Specials.

From early 2001 to Nov 2007, the shelter was privately run by two sisters – Jessie and Elsie, who have a passion for helping stray and abandoned dogs and providing them with a better life filled with safety, security and love. Now, Doggie Rescue Shelter (Singapore) is officially registered as a non-profit organization.

More than physical labours, the two sisters are the main financial providers of DRS. In order to continue maintaining the basic living standards of the rescued dogs, DRS relies greatly on the aid of the public and welcomes any sum of financial contributions.

Lara has sadly passed away at the vet this morning. The vet nurse found her vomitting and collasped and could not revive her. She is in good hands now.

Born in 2002 at a construction site. Jessie rescued the helpless puppy and put at her shelter since. Yesterday morning the caretaker of the shelter informed Jessie that Lara was looking listless and not eating. Overwhelmed with family emergency, Jessie went to the shelter the next day and rushed Lara to the vet. Mt Pleasant diagnosed renal failure n tick fever.

She was given 2 choice. To put her down immediately or to proceed with treatment. It is expected that the vet bill can be quite sustantial. I encourage her to proceed with the treatment. At about 8years old, I trust with my heart, that Lara will put through with a good few more years. But we need your help.

Our poor Mario together with his cell mate has been diagnosed with critically low platelets. They very urgently needs a foster home. They cannot suffer any knocks or cuts because their blood cannot clot. They are now not suitable to be in shelter because of their very low immunity(I feel sad just typing these....). I took this video just before the kitties left for shelter life. They were previously boarded at my place for 2 mths. I miss them a lot. Their frantic meows when they hear the can food open etc. On a happier note, Mabel the naughty kitten have been adopted. Their owners are wonderful people living in a big house. They also adopted another kitten at the shelter even though they already have a old cat at home.

Last night I jolted out of my sleep and immediately received 2 phone calls, one after another. The first one was a lady who told me that is a dog loitering around her block and crying loudly. One of the muslim families was even taking a bamboo and chase/beat it away. I told her the options and ended the call with a heavy heart. Later Jessie called and told me Archellis at DRS is completely blind now. He is knocking onto things and tries to bite when anyone goes near him. We know he is scared to death. Can you imagine going back to the shelter 2 weeks later and see this dog completely blind and scared now?????

I really dunno what to say.

These Sundays, Zw and I goes to Doggie Rescue shelter(DRS) at pasir ris to volunteer. Each week we prepare snacks like meatballs or chix rice for the 33dogs there. We also scrubbed their bowls and kennels and give them patting and some grooming. With only the 2 of us, the shelter still needs volunteers badly. Occasionally, Rayne and Ena comes and help out too.

Last week, after some patience, we managed to take a decent picture of all the 33 dogs!!

Ena found this little gal near her place few weeks ago and brought it to the vet. She is just discharge and vaccinated. Her right eye lid is unable to open fully yet. Some of you have contacted me regarding the fostering or adoption of the puppies. The gals are still very small, abt a month old. So needa stay wif Mama Pixie for another month or so. And even thought Mama Pixie is really small sized, we doubt the puppies are HDB approved.

Bobby for adoption

Bobby stayed at my place for a few days when his fosterer went holidays last year. He is one of the few dogs that it is a pleasure walking. When the time comes, this fella will bite his leash and look at you earnestly. He never tug on leash and walks beside you. One of the best companion u can ask for.

He was subsequently adopted. But his adopter is now preggy and so they want Bobby out. If you can give this sweetie a everlasting home, pls call me at 81023019.

Rayne was complaining to me how much she hated the move(office) to Ubi. I thought it was only the traffic and time spent on travelling bothers her. Last week I finally knew the real reason. Ubi is a place where there is not only plenty of industries and cars, it also has many stray dogs and puppies :(

Much as Rayne wanna close her eyes, she caught sight of a small and skinny mama mongrel and her 4 puppies. She wants to save all of them therefore this 5 dogs needs urgent fostering and adoption. If you are interested, pls call me at 81023019.

A delirious Driver crashed into our car

I did not really want to blog about this incident. But today when we wanted to drive out to visit Winky and Cherry and distribute the long awaited treats to the shelter dogs, we could not start up our car.

Last week, Sharlene drove and park the car at the Shell station and went to the toilet. She remember parking metres behind a Van. After which, she came back to the car and drive to accompany Ena to feed the cats. Halfway through the feeding, she came back to the car and realise a huge dent at the front. Luckily the CCTV at the petrol capture the %##^&$ driver reversing the craash into our car. The following days, Sharlene and Zw run around the island trying to solve the problem. The workshop refused to start the repairs until they can retrieve the CCTV and claimed againse the other's party insurance. Petrol station says they will only release to the police or mayb our insurance company. Our insurance is reluctant or VERY hesitant in helping us to obtain the footage. The police will not release it to us, as it is under investigation.

Helpless, we can only drive around with the 'injured' car. The rainwater these few days finally seeped into the engine. We dont know what is the problem. But all these make me feel being broke really make us helpless. Sigh...

For about 3weeks in my bro's place, my dear Kylie dropped a kg, has blood in her urine(though Vet do not suspect anything wrong, but still prescribed UTI medication) and full of ticks. Luckily her ticks now are cleared 99%. Whew...

2 days ago, this woman called me in the middle of the night when she spotted the kitten again she had seen earlier in the day. I told her to go to the petrol station nearby and get the kitten some food. Later this woman came to my place and pester me about the kitten.. hahaha... But I made her promise that she take care of the kitten while we try to get it adopted. So after my cat feeding rounds, we went and found the hungry, smelly and skinny fellow at the block. We took him back to my place and bathe him. Next min, he is on my bed rolling away.. We prepared the litter pan, cage and food for Sharlene to bring home.

This morning, Sharlene told me her dad's friend love the kitty and brought it home. Nice ending after all :)
